HPC ignites: SC25 in St. Louis, MO from November 16–21, 2025
The International Conference for High-Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis (SC25) is set to take place this year in St. Louis, Missouri, from November 16–21, 2025. Once again, the global HPC community will gather for a week of groundbreaking research, technical innovation, and collaboration.
This year’s theme, “HPC Ignites,” captures the spirit of discovery and the powerful momentum driving advances in high-performance computing around the world.
NHR@FAU is proud to be part of SC25 with an impressive lineup of contributions. From cutting-edge research presentations to hands-on tutorials and the competitive energy of the Student Cluster Competition, NHR@FAU showcases innovation and excellence in the global HPC arena, including:
- two tutorials on performance engineering
- Core-Level Performance Engineering by Jan Laukemann and Georg Hager
- Performance Engineering for Sparse Linear Solvers by Christie Alappat, Georg Hager, and Hartwig Anzt (TU Munich)
- a poster on 3D visualization of MPI traces by Jean-Yves Verhaeghe
- a presentation at the “5th International Symposium on Quantitative Co-Design of Supercomputers” by Georg Hager
We are also represented at the joint “Bavarian Supercomputing” booth (#535) with LRZ, LMU, TUM, and Munich Quantum Valley, and the student team “FAUltier” is participating in the IndySCC remote competition for the first time. You will also frequently be able to meet NHR@FAU staff there, including Thomas Gruber, the main developer of the LIKWID tool suite: Meet him on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. for a “LIKWID sofa chat.”
Stay tuned for updates on our NHR@FAU LinkedIn channel as we head to St. Louis—where HPC ignites!
