Topic: From Hype to Help—AI Coding Agents in the Real World

Speakers: Dr. Jan Eitzinger, Aditya Ujeniya, and Prof. Harald Köstler (NHR@FAU)

Abstract: AI coding agents promise to revolutionize software development—but does the reality live up to the buzz? This talk cuts through the noise with a hands-on look at what AI coding agents can actually do today, where they fall short, and how development workflows need to evolve to get the most out of them. From tool landscapes to first-hand experience in the trenches, attendees leave with a grounded, practical perspective on one of the most disruptive shifts in software engineering in decades.
