Call for KONWIHR funding applications (deadline March 1)

Apply for funding

Are you in need of hardware gear and technical guidance to make your code run faster?

Apply for funding and work with experts in HPC at LRZ or NHR@FAU.

Two times a year, applications are collected and reviewed, with deadlines on March 1 and September 1. All information about the funding options and the application process can be found at https://www.konwihr.de/2024/01/22/call-for-konwihr-funding-applications-till-01-03/

The Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts’ Competence Network for Scientific High-Performance Computing in Bavaria (KONWIHR) provides funding for HPC-related projects, with the goal of promoting HPC expertise in Bavarian universities.

Funding possibilities include HPC-focused scientific projects as well as “Basis Projects,” which aim to establish HPC contact points at Bavarian universities. Algorithms for HPC, research software engineering for HPC, and the introduction of new scientific domains to HPC are some of the fundable activities.

Are there any potential improvements in your code, but you lack the resources to make them happen? Start with a 2-page proposal for a 3-month project and collaborate with HPC experts at LRZ or NHR@FAU.

The results of the proposal reviews will be available three months after the deadline at the latest.

Contact us at info@konwihr.de if you have any questions or want to submit your proposal.
