Abstract: Visual Studio Code (VS Code) is a powerful IDE, and thanks to its rich ecosystem of community-developed extensions, it has become increasingly popular among HPC users. In this HPC Café, we’ll share practical tips for using VS Code effectively on HPC systems. We’ll begin with the essentials, i.e. how to connect to HPC systems and browse files within VS Code. Then we’ll move on to more advanced topics, including working with containers and remote debugging.
