The Team “SubmitSomething,” consisting of FAU PhD student Johanna Müller from the IDEA Lab at AIBE and PhD student Matthew Baugh from Imperial College London, won several awards at the #MICCAI 2024 conference in Marakesh—and we are glad that we were able to support them in their success with our computational resources at NHR@FAU.

The MICCAI 2024 conference revolved around the topic of “Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention” and took place from October 6–10 in Marrakesh.  SubmitSomething were able to take the lead in the Medical Out-of-Distribution (MOOD) challenge the second year in a row. Also, the two students were honored with the 5-year GOAT price. In order to win the competition, they used the computing power of NHR@FAU.

An insight into how the two team members worked can be found in the paper by Matthew Baugh.
