Julian Hammer from our group has participated in the PhD Forum at ISC 2017, where PhD students could present their ongoing work to a wide audience from academia and industry. With his talk and poster presentation about automated performance engineering, Julian could thoroughly impress the award committee and eventually received the PhD Forum Award. Congratulations! Apart from the fame, Julian could take home an Apple iPad and a 250€ book voucher.

ISC High performance is the premier European conference event for high performance computing, networking, and storage. At ISC 2017, the PhD Forum took place the second time. PhD candidates in the field of HPC are encouraged to submit their work to ISC 2018 as well!
